About Mannequin Madness
Mannequin Madness is the largest liquidator of mannequins in Northern California. This business started out as a hobby and then quickly became a fun part-time business of just renting mannequins. When I got laid off from my dot-com job, it became a full time enterprise. As I began to acquire enough inventory to sell mannequins at the same time that I got laid-off from my dot-com job, it became a full time enterprise. So here I am, over 40 years old, and still playing with dolls.
We carry a range of new and used mannequins/forms that we acquire from various sources. Most of our merchandise was headed for the landfill, as many retailers just throw their mannequins away when they no longer have a need for them. Since mannequins are large, bulky objects made of materials that do not easily biodegrade, its not good to put them in the landfill. We like helping retailers recycle their mannequins. The Environmental Protection Agency gave us a special achievement award on Earth Day in 2003 for our recycling efforts.
Although we take our environmental efforts seriously, we try not to take ourselves too seriously. After all, we work with a bunch of stiffs and dummies.
